Depending on what part of your home you are looking to upgrade a partial renovation can sometimes involve as little as replacing one or two items. It does not need to be an epic exercise and the benefits can be quite amazing. In most kitchens you can usually just replace the cupboard doors with new doors and new handles.

This can cost as little as $1500 and have the impact of a newer, fresher kitchen. Sometimes even replacing the oven and cook top may be something worth considering if you want to do that little bit extra. The final product will be a great looking kitchen for a fraction of the cost of a total renovation.
In the bathroom the usual suspects when considering a partial renovation are the shower screen the vanity, all the taps and the toilet. Replacing all these item can be done for under $2000 and again leave you with a fresh ad brighter bathroom. If your tiles are getting a little worse for wear you do not need to go to the trouble of tearing them out. You can always have them resprayed with any cracks or chips being repaired beforehand.
Then of course there is the good old trick of a nice coat of paint. A good coat of fresh paint will do wonders in any room of the house. Using whites or light colours will always have the effect of making any room lighter, brighter and even bigger. In all a partial renovation is a great cost effective way of giving your home a wonderful boost. It will save you alot of time and money as compared to a full renovation and is quite often a great alternative particularly if you are looking to sell.
